Hello! I'd like to make a mappack that contains levels from various members of the community. If you'd like to help, you can post a level here.

Level Themes:
World 1: Overgrown Forest.
Image
World 2: Big City
Image
World 3: Sewer System
All levels in this world will have a 300 second time limit.
Image
World 4: Rubber Jungle
This world contains blue gel
Image
World 5: Wasteland
Image
World 6: Outer Space
All levels in this world will have a 200 second time limit.
This world takes place underwater.

World 7: Cannon Town
The cannons on the side of the platforms will fire bullet bills.

World 8: Corrupt Dimension
All levels in this world will have a 100 second time limit.

World 2: (25% complete)
World 3: (0% complete)
World 4: (50% complete)
World 5: (0% complete)
World 6: (0% complete)

Truthfully, just new colors isn't all that interesting.
Community Mappacks have been tried 3 times so far and completed once (and it wasn't much of a success).
I organized the only finished one, and it isn't as easy as it seems.

It's a lot of work organizing this. You better have a lot of determination if you are going to make this work.

Not only that, but it's also the outdated version of the colors tileset with wonky dithering on the vertical-to-right pipes. The fixed version can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1326&hilit=My+custom+tileset

I believe the reason the second attempted community mappack (the Best of Stabyourself) got canned was because we were all waiting for Special Edition to get released.

Make whatever you want, regardless of if it fits or not. I can always edit it a bit to make it suit the level. :)

I'd like to know, do you all think that this would be the perfect music for the final boss battle?

I'd like to make map(s) to this mappack, but the tileset you choose is really big and crashes my game. Can't you you use SJB's smallest one? It's pretty much like the one you choose, except, well, it's smaller...

Not really a fan of that music. Sure it's quite catchy, but considering how all the level songs in Yoshi's Story were the same song but played with different instruments, I'd find it a little weird.

We need something really obscure from some Famicom/NES game that doesn't get too much talk of.

Sadly yes, That always seems to be the case around me. -_-

I may not like the song choice for the final battle, but I'm not stopping any of you from adding it in.

You could always make it without the tileset and I could edit it for you...

The castle is next, a abandoned caste full of trees, or should we save that for rubber jungle. I know! A normal castle because it's only the first world and it should be basic. What do you think?

Also, what about "trimming the tileset", as you said? I'd love to make some level(s) to it, but I can't with this huge tileset (and let's be honest, no one would ever use all those tiles at once)...

Not really sure how I'd trim down the tileset. I know HOW to do it, but not quite sure which tiles are necessary.
Also, it was alesan99 who said that they'd trim it down.

Try using some of SJB's smaller tilesets (not the smallest, but, at least, smaller than this one) instead of trimming down it (or just use it next time you do a tileset), because they don't run very well in some computers (that's my case). But don't worry, I'll trim it down by myself. It'll not make my mappack incompatible, so you don't need to trim it or change the tileset...

Ok, I'll just have to edit the levels we currently have so that they don't become completely destroyed.

You know what? Nevermind, you don't need to switch the tileset. I'm making a level, and I reduced the tileset to a size my computer could support. This is what I got:

So, if someone else wanna make a level but have this "super-sized-tileset" problem too, the one I trimmed down should work...

EDIT: Since I'm using the smaller tileset, I'm not gonna be able to make more levels. So, I'm only making a level with 2 sublevels, all right?
