Hello, I am FreedomCast and I would like some people to post their idea's on this forum about what I should put in a Mappack Im currently working on. Some ideas may include; pipes; structures; puzzles; etc.

In this mappack im not using portal stuff until later worlds like 3-3 for example.

This post is for mappack related things only

Please submit a nice idea for my workings.

My idea? Make your own ideas. Listen to music, play other mappacks, listen to other mappack's feedback. I don't think making a blatant "Post your Ideas" thread is a good way to get ideas from people.

Try playing other's maps, get a feel for puzzles and whatnot, might give you a few ideas.

Re: HAPPYFACES

I make my own idea's, I play other map packs. You don't have to be an ass about telling me to make my own. I just want some idea's from other people that would make the map pack more enjoyable.

Im on level 1-3 right now but im making the levels more detailed. I have 1-4 already planned in my head.

Im sorry if I took it the wrong way, My thought was that he was criticizing me because I started a forum to give idea's to me for my mappack and that I thought he though I was a lazy ass

I do apologize if I was a little blunt in my first post. Reading a lot of tutorials and such gets on my nerves.

Your designs look pretty good thus far. I'm wondering if you have a certain theme in mind.

I do actually its more of a Original Theme mixed with some new idea's I thought of....cant give away to much info ;)

To add to this post I have to say that some of my recordings aren't working out so well but maybe its background programs that is making it lag....if I didn't lag so much i'd make video's and post the link to them

To add on to the add-on im done with World 1 and now to world 2

Ok so 2-1 is completed with a lot more fun in the bundle. World 2-1 challenges your spacebar skills in the underwater cavern
Just to make people happy in 2-1 there is a secret passage to a coin level
Check in to this post every so often to see what news I bring you....Hope to see this map pack go forward

It's only been about a day or so since the last post. Don't consider a topic dead unless it has been inactive for quite some time, like three weeks or a month of no posts.

So its been almost a year since anyone has talked about this map pack.
I am back into my seat as the advisor.
As I would note this.
I just would like to say, I'm back and I will work on the maps.

So I would like to add, if anyone has any mods for this that I cant edit a level for please say so.
Levels can be changed for mods/add-ons :)

Ooh! This post just got refreshed! XD

I find it quite hilarious that any of these posts have anything to do with the titles, there more like long term discussions rather than mappack ideas. Well, since the creator didn't tell us the theme, "Wouldn't wanna give away too much info," i'll brb to look at the previews and such! :) (Btw, sorry if I'll double post I will try and hurry back before someone else posts)

-OK! I'm back.

Well, it seems, so far, like your mappack doesn't really have a theme other than originality & creativity, using just the sprite sets (SO far) of the original SMB.
Image
Now, based off of the image, I infer that you either do not make custom tile sets, or chose not to. I think this because of the odd appearance of the "door", the grey bricks, where you exit from the solid brick structure. Instead, why not make 2 door tiles (top & bottom), or non-solid grey bricks (that look the same)? NOW, I know that it may have been intentional, but just by predicting, I assume you may not know a whole lot about tile sets, which is okay!

SO.....

Here's my suggestion to you: Visit these forums and look up how to add custom tile sets (It isn't that hard. If I could do it, ANYONE CAN! It took me only 20 minutes to figure out pretty much everything about adding custom tiles.) NOW, since it appears that your theme is abstract, rather more mixed than straightforward (e.g. puzzle, combat), let your mind flow, build whatever you feel like, then whatever you think looks good stick to those building patterns/habits.

Dude, what was that for!? Don't post on old threads without anything important to say (important things = mappack update, trouble downloading).
