Introduction
"Let's Go Mario" is a new mappack done by FutureNyanCat. It's mostly based on Mario's adventure, and umm...Portals. (World 8).
Tilesets are made by Mariobros2, and edited by Turtley3.

To play this mappack when released, you need to also install Turtle95's Extra Entities since I also use it.

Story
When Bowser kidnaps Peach once more, Mario has to go on another adventure to save her. But Bowser places even more dangerous traps along the way! But here's a catch: Bowser was also planning to destroy Earth in a space station based on Portal. Let's go, mario!

This is a preview of the first world's level.

I also started to work on the last world's levels. Here's a sneak peek of the final level in World 8: Bowser's Space Base.
Image
Of course, it takes place at the highest floor of Bowser's Space Base. The puzzle shown here is also based off an animated screenshot (about the box dispensers) in the Mari0 screenshot marathon. Note that the level itself is incomplete so please ignore the brown ground.

Info
In worlds 1-7, you'll save each Toad, and then in World 8, it's based on portals and puzzles. You'll need to use your portal gun to manipulate World 8's levels and get to Bowser's plan!

If I finish all levels of the first world, I'll release a demo. I'll do the same for all of the worlds (except World 8, which will be the final and full release)

Compatibility
Mari0 1.6 with Turtle95's Extra Entities

I'd just like to point out that Turtley made minor edits to the tilesets you saw in that post. Please give proper credit to the original creators as well, because they did most of the work in those tilesets.

Anyways, your idea sounds promising, and I'd love to try it when you complete it.

Maybe you shouldn't be trusting turtley3.

Huh, who made the original tilesets? I guess I should have edited the credits.

I'm trying to learn about Mari0 and how it works, so I made a mappack to test my skills on using Mari0.

Don't be a sarcastic arse to someone who's already a better member than you.

Thanks for using my tileset :)
Looks promising and I would like to try it, but sadly I have a few problems with my laptop.

However, you'll also need Turtle95's Extra Entities, since this mappack contains more things which are in the mod.

I would strongly recommend that you don't use Extra Entities unless something in that mod is crucial to your mappack. If all you're using it for is the level editor, that's fine, but making a mappack where players have to run a mod to play it will make it much less accessible, and will mean less people play it.

Actually, what if I don't have the mod? The mappack will be unplayable (since I added more obstacles from the mod)

Unless you compile the mappack and mod together into one .love file. I did the same thing with my speedruns mappack collection.
Which I really need to finish. :P

Hey, this seems to be a very promising mappack. Good job! I'll love to play it once it gets released.
And, also, you're doing a great job to someone new to the forums. Welcome!

Hmm, seems to be nice using edited tilesets, the reason why I edited mari0bros2's tileset is because: 1: Toadsworth's hat is reversed. 2: I don't want people complaining about Minecraft. 3: I made the purple Toad all by myself because I wanted a full Toad Brigade. 4: We surely needed mushrooms in more colors.

I love the Space Station (maybe add some background tiles and make windows sometimes so you can see the space). Can I make a suggestion? I for one like portal-themed puzzles and such when there's some Mario feel too, so if you want you can add some platforming sometimes. It's up to you anyway, I don't mind if you don't add those.
Not sure if that's your actual plan, because I can already see you added some coins and a goomba.. If you do follow my suggestion, I think you still should do portal as the main theme for the levels and add platforming and such as little breaks.
