Finally, my first complete mappack in a while.

This is a remake of a Russian tech demo of Super Mario Bros. created for the ZX Spectrum. It spans four levels.

This mappack does not require a mod to run.

Interesting little mappack... It's short and sweet, but not very deep (just like this comment).

It gets really difficult near the end, especially considering that this is a tech demo.

I'm considering posting an update to this mappack. It'd do nothing more than modify item locations in all levels but the first.

Funny thing is, I actually tried contacting the author of the original demo; he's no longer active. That said, I wonder if any Russians got a hold of Mari0 (or another non-English-speaking cumminity) and tried making and posting mappacks? There's only one foreign-language mappack I know of ATM, and it's only a demo at the time I downloaded it.

Maurice is from Germany. German speaking community.
Sašo is from Slovenia. Slovenian speaking community.
Jorichi is from the Netherlands. Dutch speaking community.
There are obviously more but this can't be news to you.
EDIT: I know they speak on English on here but the rules are that you're meant to. I mean it's the one language most countries can sort of understand.

My bad, I should have rephrased it as "non-Stabyourself" communities that use a language other than English.

Try using the bullettime cheat in this mappack, and you might hear the original music from the hack, either in the underwater levels, or in WORLD 1-1.

The only song form SMB1/2J that's used in ZX Mario is the main overworld theme, heard in both 1-1 and 1-4. The other two levels use unique compositions (which i'm certain are old Russian songs).
