They're (Industrial) pipes!

If you use just give me credit somewhere. I don't care if you mash these with other tiles, or recolor them just say that they were originally mine.

Do you guys want to see more tiles from me?
Leave answers I guess.

Hello guys! I've been working on my first tileset. I didn't think of a name, so I called it Extra Portal Tiles.
Hope you like it!

Did you guys ever know that the NES color palette has way more than 52 colors?
Image (not my image.)
Apparently, 410 colors are possible via the trickery of changing the palette registers mid-scanline, 14 times, in conjunction with using color emphasis bits every several scanlines (very odd explanation.).

And I'm back. Been gone because school. Still doin' SM3DW:2DE, Don't worry.

Correction: While it is true that there are only 52 colors available, certain games can apply "tints" to the screen or specific segments of it to alter the colors displayed.

On that screen the tints are Untinted, Blue, Purple, Red, Olive, Green, Teal, and Grey.
Not too many NES games even use screen-tinting exploits; but there definitely are a few out there.

Even then these "Color Demo" roms use exploits to be able to display every color on the NES' palette at once.

Ok, that makes more sense. But still cool to know that Nintendo was able to do THAT back in 1985.

If you mean SMB: Lost Levels, then yeah, there are tiles of that game:

Or if you want more colors:

Also, you can look for the tiles in this thread by using the bar below the thread title:

I just searched for "Lost Levels" and those were some results, you could do the same for other tilesets, if you don't find them, you can then proceed to request them.

I return with the latest incarnation of my clusters*ck of a tileset.

This is an "abridged" version of the third version of the tileset, which cuts up the number of colors from 111 to 56, so not as much space is consumed.

So here is a Super Mario Maker tileset i made which needs "Alesan99 entities" in order for it to work properly

Image

It works fine but the only thing i don't like is how i arranged the tiles, it's because this is completely made with boredom.

I don't need or want any credit cause this is basically copy pasta from Random Talking Bush

Sorry for the bonus tiles,i got really lazy to remove those and it's my first tileset, yay!

Hello, people of the Stabyourself.net forum. I make a humble appearance to grant thee access to a fine arrangement of graphics called a "tileset".
Okay, enough with the posh talk. My name is Xplodino.

You may have seen me around these forums some time ago, for like a short duration of time. I promised you a mappack full of wacky dimensions, but alas, I did not deliver. i know all of you don't really care or are like "who the hell are you?" because you don't even know ANYTHING about me, but i also don't care

Anyway, here's a tileset I've been working on and am still working on! (It'll only work with Alesan99's Entities.)
Some things in this tileset are missing (like the some castle parts), but anything that is missing will be added in a later update.

Image

Feedback [positive/negative] is welcome to this tileset!
EDIT: I forgot to mention. As you expect, if you use this tileset in a mappack, you have to credit me on it! You know what, you can use it as freely as you want, since I am so nice :)

I could probably make a tileset for that. Also, if you download Paint.net, you can create your own tilesets easily.

Here's some desert tiles I quickly made:
[collapse= ]Tileset:

Ingame:
Image[/collapse]
Now, this is far from completed, considering it doesn't have pyramids, cacti, miscellaneous debris, other desert stuff, or even portalable tiles—and the stones don't loop that well—but it's a good start, and should jog your creativity.
sdslayer100 wrote:Anyone think this is worth continuing? It's pokemon. Look up "Pokemon Lavender Town" That's what its based off of.

The first thing I'm going to say is that those tiles were made for a different perspective and player scale, so they'll always be a bit off. Also, that background at the beginning looks a little compressed, so see if you can't find a replacement.

Here, foran idea. Maybe like SMB3 style. as for the other thing. Yea, i was thing of having a ladder thing so mario canbe at the right perspective. Also, what are the background's dimensons?

Why not just rip it from that game, then?
sdslayer100 wrote:as for the other thing. Yea, i was thing of having a ladder thing so mario canbe at the right perspective.
That's movement pattern, not prespective. What I mean is that Mario is drawn from the side, while the Pokemon tileset is drawn from above.
sdslayer100 wrote:Also,what are the background's dimensons?
The resolution at scale 1: 400x224.

Because I would like to know if there are any fan made SMB1 desert tiles. Worst case scenario, I just paint all the original SMB1 tiles yellow.
Basically, I wanna try to keep the SMB1 style.

Putting the pyramids together can be a bit of a pain, but it looks great in-game.

Thanks! I did some myself (literally just the default tileset but yellow-er) I'll use these in the next few levels.

Also, I'm not sure what kinds of tiles to use for a desert castle. Any ideas?

Here's a simple castle brick with the same pallet and dithering as the earlier posted tileset. I'd also recommend using a recolored underwater tile for the sand, though that might just be because that's how I did it in The Pirate Mappack.

- airship tileset might look horrible to your eyes.
- still not finish.
- might contain wrong colors
- big coin block will turn to regular coin block.
- everything might look bad to your eyes.

Here's a surprise to all of you lovely folks here!
Finally, Tengen/Atari Tetris tilesets, of both the NES, and Arcade versions! Credit to Superjustinbros, and to him for showing me how to do it right! (and also pointing out that the black pixels are part of the spriting)
And yes, I did add in some extras. That other Tengen tileset to the right is a slight edit of the one to the very left, with a more NES-accurate yellow.
Image Here's the Tetris 2 NES tiles. Well, slightly extended.
Image Ack, why am I still going? Tetris Blast tiles, by the way.
Image
Image DEAR GOD.
Image

Well guess what. MORE SIN.
Image
Lots of the tiles, were ripped by Superjustinbros (credit to him since he ripped lots of these, while some, like the Tetris 2 + Bombliss tiles, were ripped by me.)
And yes, this is an Tetris amalgamate of an tileset.
