I was going to convert the Mari0 tiles to be like SMAS SMB3 tiles, but decided to scrap it. Here's what I got done if someone wants to finish it.

Isn't that the size they are in-game? Or do they have black edges?
Either way, I don't really care, as I scrapped this project in the first place. :P

They do have black edges. You must have cut them out from a SMB3AS map that had a dark background, so you couldn't see the outlines well.

Some tiles from Sonic Pocket Adventure I took straight from the game months ago. Some of the Green Hill ones don't correctly fit together and I was gonna fix them, but I got bored of working on them

I will share tiles too.
Credit to Superjustinbros and everyone else for the tiles. Image
Tetris Retro tiles from Tetris Friends. Image
Epic Windows tiles for TripleXero. Credit goes to him. Image
Maybe0ne's Minecraft tiles with more. Slabs and stairs are removed. Credit goes to him and rinerdar. R.I.P. Rinerdar
I have one which is WIP. I will be not showing it to the public.
I made them because I'm tired of using different tilesets every time I make a mappack.
*shivers some more* Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................. Alright, give me some links to rip tiles. Only the ones that are not even ripped yet.
1: I got a cut on my elbow from tripping on my dad's Stair-Climber on the very low stairs while getting 2 burritos from the freezer
2: I also got a cut on my knee, from tripping again. Guess where SJB got his grass like tiles? FROM SUPER MARIO BROTHERS 2 I trust you now. I also wonder if you ripped the SUPERMARIOLAND tiles from a NEWGROUNDS movie called Super Mario Land? I also have a Tetris (NES version) tileset! Image

@Turtley

I know you're new here and all, but to be honest, I don't like what you've gone and done with my tile set, merging some of my other tiles (including those of several others) into very little space, killing the ability to easily find other tiles of the same object (bushes, etc) by rolling the mouse wheel without accessing the tiles menu. You can pretty much accomplish near anything with that huge working tile set you almost don't need to do unless you want to add in text or a character sprite that's part of the background, but overall, it just screams "mess", especially considering how many of the tiles you added in don't exactly fit with the 8-bit theme.

If you want to use tiles from multiple tilesets all compressed into a single tileset with a few edits, try keeping them to yourself; avoid posting them directly to the forums (especially unedited) unless they're tiles you were able to create from scratch. Trust me, they'll be a big help.

It's been an hour and a half, are you expecting that everyone watches this thread checking every 5 minutes? Most of the forum has been slow today aside from your posts. I posted my Sonic tileset two and a half weeks ago and had no one mention it once and I said nothing

It's a nice little tileset to play with, but its the same two tiles 28 times, just recolored

@TripleXero
That was also the case in that NES version of Tetris made by The Tetris Company! Also, did you mean 3 tiles getting recolored 10 times? There are 10 levels in Tetris for the NES, and each level uses 3 tiles each, if you have a NES and the Tetris Cartridge, you can see what I said.
Otherwise,I found epic music while playing the Famicom version of Tetris on Emuparadise called Technotris. Why is it called Technotris?
Anyway, here is a link to Technotris:

just stop,
if you're doing it to help people create a tetris themed map then stop harassing the forum to use them.

Now stop spamming your tileset that takes 5 minutes for anyone to make.

Okay, I thought the forum was so slow, and I thought some users lost connection somehow or got to do their homework.
10 levels are in Tetris NES. 3 tiles are used every level, like for example: Level 00: Blue, Blue with white, and Sky blue.
Sweet! Legend_Of_Kirby is back!

a good map takes about a day or so to make, if people want to use it they'll use it,
if you're so desperate to see it in a map make one your self, or be patient.

I just post tilesets for the fun of it. And even if it's quite satisfying to see your tiles used by someone other than yourself, I don't count on, or really aim for people using my tilesets. Mostly I just rip and create them so others don't have to.

I'll likely find myself making an improved version of the tileset just for the heck of it.

What I was going to do:
Fix palette of pieces, add nonportable versions of standard blocks, add background tiles as nonportable solid surfaces. Stuck only to the NES version.

Oh. Sorry about that. I used someone else's sprites instead of your's. Ummmmmm.......... the colors that on the palette I used were brighter than your's. And the blues aren't purple, I think....... And I have the idea of adding Tengen Tetris (NES) tiles to your tileset. Justin, did you just forget the letters and numbers?! Also, can you fix the NES Tengen TeTRIS tiles in my tileset? They were a big mess of spots in your Tengen TETRIS sprites.

The emulator I use is NEStopia, which displays colors darker than most other emulators. Second, the "blue" color you're describing does have a bit of a violet hue to it compared to the other blues. Here's a screen of when said color normally appears in game at Level 07.
Image

I don't have a thing for slapping in text into my tile sets.
Also, can you fix the NES Tengen Tetris tiles in my tileset? They were a big mess of spots in your Tengen TETRIS sprites.
Each block in a Tetris piece in the Tengen version is normally 7x7, but with an extra black "border" in the top left of each piece so the blocks appear to have outlines and don't appear to be conjoined. See for yourself:
Image
First we take a snapshot of a game in progress..
Image
Then we add transparency to the image in Photoshop. Notice that grid in the background? Each block of the grid is 16x16 pixels in width. See how the north and west sides of the blocks have black?
Image
With the black borders, each tile covers an 8x8 space and can be resized into Mari0 with no problems.

P.S. Ever heard of Tetris 2 + Bombliss on the NES?

Well, after release my weird mappack with weird textures, I decided to make another one, with more detailing and without mods. After finish my tileset, I thought: "Why not publish it and let others work with them too? It's actually looking so good!". So, here it is (WARNING! IF YOU USE IT, PLEASE PUT CREDITS FOR ME):

Image

I'll probably add more tiles to it, but I'll release just when I finish my new mappack. Enjoy!

@Hugo:
Try to make your tilesets have a constant width of 476 pixels, this way they'll be organized and overall easier to find a certain tile in the tile selector.

All right, I'll do it.

EDIT: Update on my tileset (request from Superjustinbros):

Image

Now it's more organized, and better looking in editor. But I'll keep using the old tileset in my mappack.

The first version I made to be easier to use in editor: tiles that are supposed to make a 2x2 square are in the same line, so we don't need to open the editor and search for the down half of it. The second one looks better, but it's harder to use...

Yeah, I'm not that great at making darker background tiles. And the early alpha cactus was there. And the lava and water were not included because of, you know, longer files. EDIT: Oh no! I missed some tiles! Hold on, better picture will be coming. Image
Yeah, and Minecraft always haves dupe blocks in the game. In the insides of stuff, like houses and caves. The weird glass like texture, was from 0.0.19a (Classic) to 0.0.19a_06 (Classic). The 3nd top texture (Gold Block) was from 0.0.20 to 0.26 (October 24, 2009).

About a week ago I created a small tileset of the game Kye.
Image
It may be intresting to show I both ripped and created this tileset entirely on pre-Vista MS Paint, only using Photoshop to remove the background so Mari0 can render it properly.

If anyone wants to try the original game, I strongly suggest getting the updated fan-remake Xye. I started a thread about it on Twatter. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2127

Oh, thank you! C: But, you forget some of them. So I added more and gave credit to Maybe0ne. Image
Now I have it, now I will be able to try to do the scrapped Really cool Minecraft idea. (Also, does someone has a copy of the current Aether Mod? I want to import those blocks in, because Mediafire has deleted the file Aether 1.04_01 Final.zip!)
