I'd do more like bricks in the shape of poles or other objects, but I believe this should be enough to keep you all covered.
Why do you always get the colours wrong? Example: The overworld pieces are darker than they need to be.
The thing with tile rips is that they come straight from a game. SJB didn't make them, he was just kind enough to "port" them to Mari0.

If the colors are that much of an issue, open up your personal image editor that's not MS Paint and "correct" the colors yourself, Villager. As Turret pointed out Mari0's sprites and tiles have different colors because the sheet they were taken from weren't ripped in NEStopia. One could say the colors are based on this horribly-inaccurate sprite sheet of SMB1:

Fun Fact: That's the spriteshitsheet where Maurice got the "Hard-Bobbing Buzzy Beetles".

No, I mean recolour them with the Mari0 Pallete first. Then put them onto the forum.

I'm not demanding anything, just a suggestion.

Also, Have a few examples of objects to make with the bricks:

Brick Piles.

Holes in walls.

Stairs and Slabs.

Maybe make some other colours like yellow, pink and blue.

Justin did you recolor each pixel or did you use some sort of program for that?
because that is a lot of work to do by hand

I used Photoshop to quick-select all of one color on a layer then recolor everything. It'd also be possible to do in Paint.Net, but not as easily.

There's no doubt that this is EXACTLY what I needed! Outstanding!
I've always dreamed of making a mappack using tiles from NSMB, but none of the tiles appealed to me except for this one.
I must definitely use this. I need it. Could I use it? I'll be sure to credit you if that's what you want.

The whole reason that the tileset was posted here was so you can use it, as far as credits go you should credit mit as well since he created the original tiles.

I was inspired by a thing ProfessorPancake sent me. It's some neon looking tiles meant to be used on the black background; the gray bordered tiles are non-portalable.

(The pinkish-purple tiles are just my grid.)

I saw that and had to make this:
Image
(please don't feel like i'm tiring to 1-up you)

mari0+portal compatible! pixel collisions!
warning: in mari0+portal the red neon lights are deadly
I may make a mappack for this so don't jump on it yet...

Pixel Collision is not implemented yet. For now, what about making them have Custom Collisions (the "platform" properties)?
Also, great tileset! Looking really good!

I'm getting vibes of the ROM hack Platina from these neon tile sets.

Obligatory Christmas tileset:

Image
(the Turrets were completely done by me. If they look like some that already exists then it is purely a coincidence)
(but the Christmas hat on them was inspired on Weighted Wonderland 1 and 2, which are maps for Portal 2 made by p0rtalplayer)
(but him, his maps and this kind of thing are subject I should discuss on another forum. Probably myApertureInnovations)

I may use it eventually or expand it, so take this as an "alpha"/"beta"/"whatever"...

Gives me the idea to rip more tile sets from some Christmas-themed hacks.

you don't need every single tile set, try to be creative with the level design not purdy groundz.
