Hello people!
This is my first mappack, and it's a remake of the Old Aperture section of Portal 2.
It's technically finished, and all the levels can be completed, but I need to improve quite a bit. Help, if any, would be appreciated. I am working on this still, by the way.
Screenies:

I wonder if anyone can find the Borealis easter egg.

.RAR: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8689dirtzbtv1 ... erture.rar
.ZIP: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g3o7mjmdy2uul ... erture.zip

Please note: for the section in the last screenshot (3-2_1), stay in the column thingy for what I consider a cool elevator.
Thanks, guys!
And thanks to Trosh for the fixed screenies.

Update: please visit this link for my texture pack. Thanks!

Edit: 1-3 is actually broken, but possible :/ To avoid frustration, you can go down the starting elevator to go straight to the flag.

I was also making of what is roughly supposed to be "Old Aperture" for my mappack 2 days ago.
The screenies look promising, imma gonna download your mappack and try it out.

Updated link, now has the first Wheatley test. I can't actually do the 'proper' tests themselves, because there's no excursion funnel.

great mappack ! I'll grade it 4 out of 5. Nothing fancy like o'brothers or lines, but still a really great + fun mappack. nice tiles, nice level design, nice puzzles.
haven't tested wheatley yet, and I've been up to 3-1.which is not bad considering I haven't played any custom mappack for more than 4 levels in the past month.
I think you can go through most of 2-3 without any portals. might have missed something though.
there you go, if you want (had to remove 1/2 pixel wide borders by hand >:O) : http://i.imgur.com/Uz5VY.png

Thanks!
For 2-3, the whole point of using portals is to  be able to put repulsion gel on that platform to bounce to the end . You can access most of the whole level without portals, but you can't get to the end. Just clearing that up.
How did you do 1-3? Did you just jump through the emancipation thing? I'm guessing nobody got my intended solution.
Also, did you or anyone else find the Borealis easter egg?

the vine block which is out of the screen in 3_1_something breaks the game

Ooh. Looks promising. If you want you can use some ideas from my mappack, "The Old Tests" because I'm slowing down on ideas. (I will have to update the dl to have my most recent wip levels)

I thought I fixed that. It's fixed for my own version, but I'll re-upload it just in case. You can re-download it, or change it yourself.

Thanks! IIRC, your mappack actually inspired me to make mine (trying not to copy anything much, of course!)
Edit: 2-2 breaks occasionally due to cube staying in emancipation thing. That I probably can't change, but I hope Maurice sees this as an issue.

Legit necro!
Just an update, featuring all the stuff I missed the first time.
Please visit my other topic if you haven't already for the texture pack that goes with this.
Thanks!
Also, downloads are in the description.

The last part of World 3-2, I trapped twice and had no choices but to suspend the game and do it over again. Other than that, it was fun.
I really liked how you use blue gel, especially in 3-2. Nice mappack

That's because the last time anything was done with this - including posting - was last year.

Nice! It has great level design, good tileset and FULL REMAKES OF THE P2 LEVELS.

All it needs now is custom music, backgrounds and a few custom chambers and then it will be EVEN BETTER!

Still a great mappack! An 8/10! I would've given a 10/10 if it had those things up above.

I know the thread is pretty old but just say'n.
