Turtle Challenges Are What MAKE This Mappack EVEN More AWESOME!
Anyways, keep it Mario and not all Portal though.

Personally, I find portal challenges (buttons, switches, doors...) can get really boring...
Keep the Mario twist on it!

Well, you're the first person telling me "Shell Puzzles" is cool. Thank you ;)

But I think it should be better if Super 0'brothers uses new things and no more shell puzzles (or at least, I would like to make four or five shell puzzles, because to my mind it's an interesting portal interaction. But this time I won't overuse it, I promise). I'll put buttons, doors and lasers too, but I'll change their skins so they'll looks closer to the Mario universe.

Does it mean that we'll be able to play as different characters into the same mappack ? It sounds like it will be "easier" to add our own sprites, but not to have more than one characters in the same mappack (like Super Mario USA, where you can choose between Mario, Luigi, Toad and Peach).

By the way, I already created my originals Mario sprites for Super 0'brothers. I'll show you soon, it's the same Mario but 16-bit (not the one from SMB : All Stars). Anyway, I just wondering if I could add Luigi (not just because of the color, but maybe taller, different mustache), because after all, it's Super 0'Brothers.

I think only one character.

NO.
It means you can use a custom skin for your character. I think

YESH. ADD LUIGI. IT WILL BE LIKE SMB2J.
And if you can, try to add others. And by that I mean yoshi.

Hey Baf, I remade 1-1 of 0'Brothers to look more like Super 0'Brothers.
Super 0'Brothers better look nothing like this. -.-'
Play 1-1 Of 0'Brothers With 16-Bit Graphics

I got to level 2-2, and am a little disappointed.
It certainly had a good vibe, and the graphics were pretty good, but the koopa shell puzzles made it impossible. I can't find any level design that actually felt good except for bits of 1-1. The shell puzzles even got repetitive.

EDIT: I got past by making the koopa shell go insane just now. I'm just not a fan of koopa shell puzzles being EVERYWHERE.
And the checkpoint on level 3-1 is at the beginning of the level. The shell puzzle there was nice, but I hate repeating it.

When I made 0'Brothers, I didn't know checkpoints won't works into sublevels, I think that's why it's so annoying doing a level again and again from the beginning. With Super 0'Brothers, I won't do the same. But still, I invite you to try the others levels because all of them aren't only based on Shell Puzzles, they are more differents and challenging.

Hi guys, i'm new here. From earlier posts, this mappack sounds amazing, except, I don't really know how to play it. I followed Mari0Lu1g1's instructions on page 2, and unless the adorable Pig is profitting, then I am completely lost. Please help.

Yeah, it is really unique and fun, but the shell puzzles are nearly everywhere. I think Super Mario Brothers 3 had only about 2-4 of them in the entire game, which made it a unique thing in the game. Once you start putting two in every level it feels like you're just doing the same thing over and over again.

Next time actually tell me why you thought my remark on the koopa shell puzzles was stupid instead of typing with your face.

Oh yeah, and it seems Maurice is gonna fix checkpoints so they will work in sub-levels.

Shell puzzles were not in SMB3.
If they were please tell me what levels.

1. SMB3 had no portal gun. It couldn't make them as hard.
2. Great job saying a random percent.

Hi, to play 0'Brothers1.2 (complete version), just put the 0'Brothers1.2 file into love.exe.

Or if you want to play the mappack version, you have to put the 0'Brothers1.2 folder into the mappacks folder. There is a folder named Application Data in User (it may be a hidden folder), then : Application Data/Love/mari0/mappacks.

I hope this help.
Turret Opera wrote:Shell puzzles were not in SMB3.
Shell Puzzles are about breaking blocks to get new zones access. In Super Mario Bros. USA you use Bob-ombs, in Mario Bros. 3 you use shell too. I understand some people think it's a waste of time because you have to wait.

When I first started playing, I never wanted to mention Mari0 on the Exploding Rabbit forums or vice versa since I thought the cumminities of both games were rivals since when ou look at it, both games are in a nutshell recreations of SMB.

Yep, both Mari0 and SMBC are amazing games, I think they are differents and doesn't have to be compared (even if they are based on the same video-game).
