So I finished my map that I've been grinding out on and off for a few weeks now. Gotta give credit to superjustinbros. for the custom colorization I started using on the fourth level.

Here's the deal:
No time limit. You start with 9 lives with plenty of life opps throughout each board. Each level has 3 pathways through, with common starting and ending corridors. Unfortunately, since the structure is based on having long sublevels within levels, there are no checkpoints except in the starting corridor (I hate this part). I would say this map is very challenging. I'm fairly confident that all situations are passable in some way shape or form. I tried to test it out as much as possible to make sure all the momentum puzzles and stuff are beatable as big AND little Mario. If there's a part that isn't, please let me know and i'll adjust. Or if a part just has you stumped, hit me up. It's only 4 levels right now, but remember, you can go through each level three different ways. Enjoy!

Okay, the fourth level is by far the most imaginative use of my custom tiles yet. The whole set overall is filled with many creative ways of scenery, my favorite being the upside-down trees. As thanks, is it alright if I dedicate one (or maybe several) of the levels in my own pack to your thoughts and designs?

You can definitely use any of these visual ideas for your own mappack. And that goes for anybody as well. I had the idea to go back and re-skin everything with your tileset once I saw you post it, but I was so ready to be done I just decided to roll with what I'd already finished and call it complete.

Here's to hoping Maurice likes my pack and wants to put it with the game's DLC

Fixed some lazy testing errors (missing doors and bullet bills) added in mario music and more coins, added some enemies in places. Just a few small tweaks. So if you downloaded it, you might want to grab it again

Man, this is one of the most well designed mappacks I've seen, in terms of it's layout. Each level and sublevel had it's own distinct flavour. Well done.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Definitely would like to hear what others have to say as well. Is it too hard, too easy, too long?

I'm thinking about starting a world 2 and moving from superjustinbros custom color set into another one of the custom sets (like Lines) or shifting into more updated mario graphic tilesets (like SMB3 or SMW). I don't know how to make (or compile) tilesets into one tiles.png file though. I'd prefer to keep it all in one map instead of releasing Worlds in separate mappacks, but maybe since it's so difficult to even make it through the first four boards that would be a better idea anyway.

Im currently working on an "updated" portal tileset which you can use on your levels if you want. Not sure if its what you want because its not that retro like mario 8/16 bit tiles.

Well it'd still be cool to have on one's hard drive.

Just to let it be known, I am working for a World 2 on this. I'm halfway through 2-2 now. Should be out in like two weeks if I keep up the pace of level-making I'm at now. Yes it takes me like a week to work on a level ok

Also still wondering if anyone has successfully made it through 1-4 yet

If you didn't realize, this topic has been dead for months, and the user who created it hasn't been on since the last post he/she has made.
Long story short, don't bump topics.

Well, maybe another user still has the original file on his/her harddrive.
It would be nice if one from you could re-upload it then. :-)
