Turtle: Invaders [3D/2.0]

Hello everyone!

I've recently been into the 3DS homebrew scene and have been making games with Love Potion. I won't get into detail how to get into the whole thing, but there are instructions on the Love Potion github. That said, let's get down to why this topic exists.

I present to you all Turtle: Invaders once again. The name varies between 3D and 2.0. I'll talk about both. The one thing you must understand is that they are the same game overall. The code is the same (for the most part) and nothing will change except local online play from being online co-op. The game plays exactly like the original in every way. You shoot at bats, get points, and then fight bosses.. but something isn't quite right! It's been two years how the hell do I make something that was horribly made two years ago into something better? Well that's because I started from square 0. Scratch. Yeah, it sounds like a long haul but it was worth it!

The game is roughly 90% done. I'm trying to hammer out the last few bugs that remain or other things I have to add.

For those who might be wondering about how much changed deep down for the coding nerds like myself, here's two documents that show the stats of the two games: Turtle: Invaders (1.5) and Turtle: Invaders 2.0/3D.

For a real changelog, please take a look at: This document

You can find the project on my github. Just click 'download as zip' and compile it as a normal .love file and run it with Love 0.10.x.

yes because you developed the whole game and even hack turtle's account to stream it

I started from scratch simply because the old code which was also rewritten was horrible. After two years of developing that it wouldn't run on 3DS homebrew. Other than that, it runs much better and has better gameplay. Rokit you did come up with the idea, but again, I took over the project and you let me do that. That's that. I don't want an argument, I'm just saying this to clarify.

We may proceed...

I really like how the game has been progressing, and with quite a bit of steam. I hope to see an amazing finished project, or at least close to it. Good luck man.

Please don't speak for everyone. Let people choose individually whether they stand behind your statement. While I understand the criticism that rokit's jokes are uncalled for and unnecessary here, being rude in response solves nothing.

Also, your game is looking hot turtle! Makes me want to actually make things like I always say I will

But in all seriousness Turtle, if Rokit did come up with the idea, I think you should credit him. What's it to hurt? Stop bickering guys.

Lets give Tomohiro Nishikado and David Yuh credit while we're at it. After all, they made the original Space Invaders concept/game.

though on wikipedia only Tomohiro Nishikado is only credited so

EDIT: Here. I made you your own credit.lua file. Ok, let's get back to the original topic. was it sports

People giving their "opinions" and choosing "sides" here are 99% stupid since they're picking sides without having gone through the whole thing. The only people who would rightfully decide who is right or not are the people who have participated in the game's development from the beginning, you guys are judging based only on a couple post from each user and a little bit lot of pre-conceived, highly-biased opinions on said users in regards to how they "behave" rather than the actual issue.

If you guys want my opinion (I've been through the game's development for pretty much over 80% of it), I'd say this is something Turtle and Rokit should resolve by themsel- oh wait, they did that already, didn't they? So why is this still a thing?

And yes, of course the game looks great, I helped with the art :)
