Hey there everyone!

Over this summer, I decided to learn how to make proper games in Löve. Now that summer's over, I decided to share it with everyone! What is it, you may ask?

Basically, it's a block-based mining game (I wonder where I've heard that before...) in a top-down, 2D perspective. The current goal is to earn as much cash as possible... sadly, you can't do anything with it yet. BUT I'm adding some cool stuff you can buy, such as machinery or nutrition! Yeah...

Here's a screenshot of the game:

And here's the download link. You'll need the latest version of Löve (0.9.1) to run it!

Download link removed. Riperoony. Don't ask me for a new download link because I don't have the original game anymore.

Yes, the coding in it is horrible. But, as I've mentioned, it was mainly a learning experience!

Thanks!

Indeed, I had the idea after playing some Minecraft. One day I thought to myself how cool it would be if you could only ever be in a mine, not up near the surface. So I made this over the summer.

Fun fact: Before I had the chunk saving feature, you had to get to the mines via teleporters. I might add them again if this game sparks interest in me again...

The download is unavailable... is there another link for the game?

It's 2 years old, the author has likely abandoned it by now.

Not necessarily. I probably have a download at my computer, so if Renhoek doesn't have it (which I doubt), then I'll find mine later today :P

As Mari0_Player said, I've pretty much abandoned Deep Down. It was a simple project I made during the summer of 2014 (as the title says) to help me improve my Löve skills. It's pretty much just a Minecraft clone (with the exception of there being no overworld, heh) which was going nowhere. I've been thinking about ways I could use DD for a future project which I might get around to working on (when I become less lazy of course)
