Alesanimator
-The simple animation program

Haha I'm proud of the title XD.
Anyway I made this small program because I figured out how to make drawings with lines and decided to make an animation.
I tried to make it as simple as possible, so no copy-paste, importing images, different sizes and colors, or anything like that.
It may not have those things but it has everything necessary for a short animation.

Features
  • Edit animations
    draw
    add/remove frames
    change delay
    save
  • view animations
slightly better quality than edit mode
    pause/play
Screenshots

Download
DOWNLOAD (LOVE 0.9.X)

How Find Save Files
Saved animations are in ...LOVE/alesanimator/animations
NOTE: Due to lines being smooth the file sizes can be larger than the game itself, yikes!

Have fun! Also post your animations if you want to.

This is awesome! I remember messing around with something similar to this before, and this is lots of fun to use! I'll probably make some animations with this. ;)

I wanted it to be as simple as possible and animating with color is harder since you have to switch between colors and stuff.
And i'm lazy

I tried your animator, and you made a nice work, Alesan! Bad thing I was getting some lag with it and I don't have any screen recorder. I'd love if LÖVE could render GIFs, so I could test this better. But nice job, Alesan! I mean, nice job AS ALWAYS :P

Thank you!
There's really no way I can fix your lag (I don't get the lag) because it's most likely the complex lines.
As for the screen recorder, use gifcam.
Qcode wrote:Crashes if you try to view animations without any saved. Good work other than that, though.
Fixed

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

Yeah, the lag is probably my PC's fault (as always). But don't worry: even in my shitty PC it works fine. As for Gifcam, it wouldn't work anyway, since it'd still be laggy (actually, Gifcam would cause even more lag). But thanks for the tip, anyway :D

It would take an eraser, in case you miss something in the drawing, however this program looks like so, just without many Flipnote things! :)

Nice Animation!

There's an undo button you can use to erase but I can't put and eraser because the lines are saved in points, not pixels. I wanted it to be simple so I didn't put a lot of things.
