Pegs: Lua Edition

Pegs is a game based around object elimination. In this scenario, you must match two identically shaped "pegs" to eliminate them! There's also pits which you can push square pegs into to cross chasms. Try making it through the original mappack to gain Hard Mode, too! Complete with a level editor, the game has been completely redisigned for a more "clean" look, and is just about (1 block higher) in height than the original game (I accidentally did that, but it works out fine). This game is on TI-84 graphing calculators, and I was bored of playing the game on there, so I decided on making it in Lua. It took me at least two hours to make all the graphics for the game.

I'm hoping to release Pegs this week, and I'm also thinking of adding music.

I can't wait! Well, actually, I can, seeing how I have since you told me about this earlier, but I metaphorically am unable to wait for this. Pretty sweet music too. Nice job KylePrior for the bit from the level editor in the trailer. (And I don't know I guess this other guy might possibly be doing music for the game to and he's some really cool guy... can't remember his name though :D)
Oh thank god this game finally has a level editor. Thank you Turtle! Yay! :)

Updated first post!

v1.0 is out now! Enjoy. I hope this time, since I tested EVERYTHING like my life depended on it, there shouldn't be any bugs :D

Hurray! This is fantastic! I wish the controls were a little more flexible (as in wasd with the arrows and enter for menus... simple stuff), but other than that this is rock solid! As a music lover, I really enjoyed all three tracks a ton, nice picks! (cough cough a little awkward but I say that for just about everything so shhh)
Thanks for the great game, I'm trying it out now :)
I am a bit allergic to double posts though so that's why I was coughing up there
Ugh it's getting worse
Oh no! :D

Origianlly I was going to do WASD and "return" (aka Enter) on the keyboard for in-game stuff, and WASD/Arrows + Space for the menus. The Editor still retains some of the second option. I think. Still, though, it's nice to hear you're happy with it :D

It gets a bit annoying that the in-game music restarts after every level, just a heads up
Hehehe took me that long to actually start playing

Who made that level editor music?

As i take time from my absence just to post here...
The game is pretty rock solid, the editor works fine and the main menu rocks!
Now all i have left to do is to beat it.
New-fangled puzzle games...

Pre-play comment:
I used to play this on the calcs in class back in HS. Better than sitting around reading power point presentations. :p

Really good re-make of that (based on screenshots); this brings nostalgia. I wouldn`t play this game on regular basis, but i can definitely see this as a time killer.

Post play:
Great job, no bugs found. It feels right, the sound track compliments gameplay. I approve this.

Thanks, Drone!

Furthermore, I've added the Windows, OS X and Linux downloads to the Original Post. These were provided by Mari0Maker.

Are you sure you're running it on 0.9.0? It's working for me.
