His eyes aren't meant to be seen. I sprited the head and glasses separate in case you want to have movement between them, like getting hit in the face or something.
I actually had two poses in mind where he takes of his glasses and you still couldn't see his eyes, but those poses are hard to do with this rag-doll approach.
Here is a doodle of one of them:
This is how he'd fall down if defeated.

Marx, I think it would be better if you gave a sketch of your character and have someone else sprite instead of copy-paste.... that and you twisted the torso. Also I need to make faces (for pain, victory, etc) for my character...

Like so?
Also I only did that so I could look simular to yours, get a consistant look and that but fair enough if you're not ok with it, that's more than alright.
EDIT:
I really am sorry if it felt like I was ripping off you work Kiashi. I really didn't mean to.
Not big enough update to want a bump, here's pain sprites....

Updated sprites.
I think I will wait until further information before I do any more on this.
It would be more useful to actually know what is needed and what is not, so that might be a point for discussion.
But these might be useful for creating the basics or something. Ask me if you need me for anything.

Can someone please comment on my sprites? I need to know if I'm doing all the work for nothing.

The art style is off, the proportions are all out, the legs are a single sprite so I assume you're gonna bounce everywhere.
Also, there's no point making a character selection icon for yourself when we have no idea what character select icons are going to look like.
Not to mention that said icon isn't actually your character.

I'd work on the head a bit more L_O_K. It's where the human eye focus' so a bit more detail put into the hair would be nice, get it a bit wilder. Seperating the joints to animate is also important so you should do that after. Shadow makes everything prettier so pick a light source and start adding some. I'm sure your sprites will be cool.

It was less that but more it would be blatantly obvious that it's a reused sprite, which never looks good.

I'm a snake. With a box on it's head.
The first part is it's tail, second is his body, third part is the box, the forth through seventh parts are the snake's head when the box is taken off, which could be used as a weapon.

Enjoy beating me up!

How didn't I notice this? This is an awesome idea which I totally want to be in. But since it looks like I won't be able to use my Mii in this, I'll just try to think of a new original character.

I think it would be cool to use your mii, and it probably would work. Heck, I'm practically doing that.

I would use my Mii if I could, since they aren't really that original. Although I could be wrong.

I'd be fine with LF using his Mii here, as that's his character and one Mii isn't anything bad.
Can't accept more than one or it will be repetitive though.

fair point but the idea for the mii was so that people could create their own characters using the mii as a base.
The pony idea was meant to be cute to sell toys to young children and weren't intended to be used for "original" characters. (same sorta thing for sonic except it's for video games.)
Plus miis aren't as common.

Not exactly. Mii's are mostly alike, while (What you said)s are not.
(I don't even care that I was ninja'd, I made a separate point.)

A Mii character is pretty indistinguishable from any base human if you're not looking for a Mii, and a single one would just look like a regular person. Lots would mean everyone would spot the theme.
Ponies are really obviously ponies and they're always really obviously MLP ponies and anyone can spot them a mile away. Add in a single one and it's obvious that it's a third party thing.

You can't point at a drawing of a Mii in Kiashi's beautiful art style and say "yup just another Mii" unless there's multiple.
You can with ponies because they all have to look the same to avoid aaaaa hellfire.

Hell, he's your character, revamp all you want. I just got bored and didn't want to work on my character, and felt like helping.
Next I'll probably make Jony's test dummy actually good looking

I'd be happy to make Maurice/Saso be Master Hand/Taboo, or playable characters, or both. It's really up to them if they ever check this topic.
And the one in your artwork looks beautiful so I'd go with that one.

Practice makes perfect when making sprites.
I'd like to see you join in this project as well. I'd be happy to help as much as I can, seeing as I'm still procrastinating with my character for the time being.

Ah yes, yes it does XD But practice takes time, and time I fear is not what I have in regards to this project.
Let me get my fingers back to work and I'll try to get you a good rendition of what I would love to give.

You have lots of time.
Characters can be added anywhere up to completion, and completion won't be for a long, long while yet.

Well then, I can lax these old sausage fingers and try my hand at some good arts!
I have not drawn in a long, long time... Fack.
So if you don't mind my asking, do you have any status updates on the progress of your creation?
