Yes, I know this is probably intended mainly for projects, but it's called 'Löve development' so...

What I want to know is what other people do when they're coding. I generally just put some music on and try to make some features. I can't focus without music, I get distracted and bored really quickly. What does everyone else do? Do you sit in silence in a darkened room, tapping away on your keyboard for hours? Do you do small bursts? I'm just curious. :P

I have no idea. If I'm really into what I'm doing, I'll realise at 5 in the morning I've been coding in my bed.

I just kind of type away at whatever I'm working on and occasionally alt+tab into facebook. And I pray that it works when I'm done because I'm an idiot and don't use comments and I don't test until I'm finished with whatever portion of the project I was working on.

This sounds like me when I'm making music.. I don't label any of the channels, sound clips or instruments and then search through everything one thing at a time, trying to find what I'm looking for.

I put on mario radio and work and when I need something I look it up on the wiki... But I'm VERY much a noob on the fourums, and to coding in lua/love2d.
EDIT: link to mario radio's page http://themushroomkingdom.net/
The other page(Where I always jump to.) http://kontek.net:8000/
When mona pizza comes up, I shut off mario radio. I hate that song.

Well at any time I code, I put on music as well. I can do without it, but I enjoy the music. Recently I use join.me and have people watch me update my current mod.

I copy what's on the wiki then edit it to be the way I like it.

That's exactly what I use to do when making websites with HTML and CSS, and what I have done with the minor modifications I've made. It's an easy way to learn how things work

I think of what I want to do, google it, find the syntax, copy it editing a few values, then I move onto the next line.
This process is what I call 'Pasta-coding'.
It comes from me mostly working in notepad rather than a program with prompts.

I start to code on motivation, then never touch the project again. Maybe i'll try the music thing.

I normally load a video of a let's play on YouTube (preferably super gaming brothers or brainscratch) and just start coding with noises in the background, when I lose motivation I normally switch to another project (anyone who's seen my youtube channel knows some of them), or I look to games for ideas or just play a game with friends.
