Macbook Ctrl+Click not working

I have a 2007 model Macbook 3.1 running OSX 10.6.8, and Ctrl+Click is not working for firing a second portal.
Fortunately my work computer has a 2 button mouse... Goodbye productivity!

You could just use the two fingered click which no-one ever seems to know about.

Cmd+Click works fine for me!
