I've tried running Mari0 both from the executable and the .love file (with LOVE 0.8 build 2012-03-03) to no avail. Doing either simply causes a window to pop up momentarily, and crashes immediately. I went to my Ubuntu installation and tried (via love-unstable) and it works, but I get horrible framerates, so it is utterly unplayable.

Now I remember I had troubles with Not Tetris 2 back when I tried it; it worked on Ubuntu but not on Windows.

I ran LOVE in console mode and it returned this error:

Code: Select all

Warning, quality setting failed! <Result: buffers: 0, samples: 0>
Here's my system specs:
Windows XP Professional SP3 (x86)

DELL Latitude D600
Intel Pentium M @ 1.8GHz
2GB RAM
ATI Mobility RADEON 9000 (32MB)

I've been waiting forever for this game, and I would love to get it working on Windows. Thanks for your support.

I also get that error; it doesn't mean the game won't load well though.

If the game is crashing when you try to run it on your old ATI card, there will likely be a fix in the next day.

I just tried both the .exe and the .love of the update, but I still get the same problem. The game window crashes immediately.

Can you try running the .love with this version of LÖVE 0.8.0? https://love2d.org/builds/love-20120304 ... efault.zip

Very old ATI cards don't support an OpenGL function that LÖVE uses for something, and it caused LÖVE to crash when run on computers using those cards/drivers even when the LÖVE function that used the OpenGL thing wasn't ever called. The latest version of LÖVE includes a fallback option (with identical functionality) for those ATI cards as well as a more graceful fail for when even the fallback isn't supported.

Well, I'm very thankful for that. Really, that sort of redundancy should be more prevalent in software.

Now please excuse me while I have some fun with tuxedos and portals.

Hey this is not your graphical card error, either problem in your .exe file of the mario or the windows problem but i am 99% sure that it may be due to your file problem but you can ask for the support for windows to solve your problem.
