I'm not exactly sure if this would be considered a bug or not, but after playing for a minute or so, whenever I press the space bar (or any other key I set it to) to jump, the game freezes for a second or two, then resumes. It's nothing too major I guess, but it's really annoying to play the game like this.
I'm using Mac OS X 10.7.3.

I have done a smidge of research on this.

10.7.3
Processor 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

I produce the following logs

I believe the issue to be a SOUND FX error, as this only happens in the following scenario:
1. BG music is playing (doesn't seem to effect it)
2. A sound effect plays (jump, squish, box pound - anything)
3. You are in an underground zone (ex: pipe in 1-1 to the coins or all of 1-2)

I hope this contributes.

Yes, it's a known issue. The only way to 'fix' it currently is to disable sound. Hopefully there will be a better solution soon. :(

I have a MacbookPro mid 2010 With An Intel CoreDuo Processor And 8GB Of Ram. I Updated Mari0 To 1.1 and I Turned the volume all the Way down in game and on my mac but it still lags when i hit a block, fire out a portal, and jump. Also the music cut off glitch is still a problem in OSX Lion...Hope You Guys Find A Solution and I Still love the idea of this game
