Mari0 won't work on Windows XP?

The game used to work on Ubuntu, but after I repaired windows XP and deleted Ubuntu it wouldn't work.
After picking Level Editor or starting a level/map pack the game crashes. My specs:
Packard Bell Computer
Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz
3.06GHz, 512MB of RAM
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200LE
