the author has to specify "allow download" for there to be a download button. Otherwise I suggest use google chrome, view source with ctrl-U, search for "streamUrl" and use any way you want to download the given urls ("streamUrl":"[download link here]") Not sure how legal that is but works perfectly...

I'm thinking that in all the draw instruction the position scaling and scaling scaling use the same size variable, so you'd have to change every single one to be able to draw bigger pictures in the same space. And that's not even looking at getting the quads to work. But as usual I'm probably wrong ...

Ok i haven't looked into this but is there any way to change the filter on the turret image ? (img:setFilter("linear", "linear") method) that way it wouldn't look so pixelated when it rotates.

if you're just retexturing, why don't you just take the smb tileset and change the colors in gimp or something ? use color selection and color fill to whole selection with 0% tolerance and boom, no coin block shit or stuff (yeah, it's "or", learn logic).
