Maybe GlaDos will occasionally throw a mushroom in there, so there is more room for error (1/2 hit kill is just a bit too cruel if you ask me). maybe princess Peach will occasionally throw mushrooms in there , imagine her in a cage , you have to rescue her , and she just helps you out with mushroom...

the bridges, gels, and lasers seem like an after thought... thre aren't two bowser's there's only one the normal bowser transform into the 2 bowser I didn't mean as two separate monsters I meant as two separate boss fights. that's right , gels laser and bridges were added later on the go using pain...

I actually think this is a great idea Since the sprites are 8-bit, you shouldn't really need any complex tools or anything to make them anyway for the most part (unless you're stringing many on the go) But this could save a lot of time, just making a quick sprite on the spot to insert into your lev...

Sound effect seems way out of place and doesn't suit the game in my opinion and is probably why it wasn't included. Well the game is sort of a mashup between Super Mario Bros and Portal so i guess you preety much have to include all the elements from both games , developers are already working on e...

I don't think an animated background would do any good and would just end up being distracting to the player. Parallax backgrounds are already a good way to make the backgrounds more dynamic, having them animated as well would just be overkill. that is only if we focus on them ( a lot ) check this ...

at least the glados picture is not a horrible jpg like those portals with a white line around (ugh) i agree with you , portals are not that well, i didn't make them though , it was supermarioportal2's work as for glados it's only a pic i got from google , i told you guys that it was not impressive

I know this was suggested somewhere before, but I couldn't find it. But yeah, use photoshop, gimp, paint.net, or something similar. They are, in my opinion, much better than any built-in tile editor can be. True but i thought of an easier way, perexemple for newbies , who never dealed with photosho...
