Wikipedia tell that "There is no standard for this extension". So there is actually multiple formats that use the extention .pak, and so, no program to open these(Since you would need one program to open each type of .pak file).

-Are you sure your json file is named the exact same way as the .png file?

It's because mari0's window is simply not resizable. It's not meant to have a "custom" resolution. No command line option to fix that. You could always try to run the SE beta , there is an fullscreen option. (Warning, it's a beta, it has bugs, multiplayer and controllers don't work, no portal mappac...

This request is mainly because of people who do different spritesets for Mario have to name it things like "SMB2 Mario" or "Mario SMW". You can put a space/spaces after the name.
