[Suggestion] Easier methods for importing music and bgs

Just asking if by any chance a future version of Mari0 could include a easier method of uploading/importing music and backgrounds into custom levels, where it asks you to pick a file on your hard drive; in which from there the game will then place the file into the desired mappack folder with the ap...

Re: super mario bros special remake

wait I was actually compiling them myself :P also I've updated the tileset and backgrounds with the new tileset you made. The PC88 version of the tileset is not an update; it is just for those that want the game to feel like the PC88 version rather than the Sharp X1 version. As for 5-1's underwater...

Well you've at least lent a hand. I downloaded your contributed world and made the recommended edits to it, and put it with all the others. However, I should mention the underwater sub-level in 5-1 lacks the proper background. I have no background for it; the point was to add the underwater one and...

Okay, the fourth level is by far the most imaginative use of my custom tiles yet. The whole set overall is filled with many creative ways of scenery, my favorite being the upside-down trees. As thanks, is it alright if I dedicate one (or maybe several) of the levels in my own pack to your thoughts a...

Re: super mario bros special remake *world 1 complete*

It might be best if you try to make it with what's already in the game, for those of us who dislike modding. Unless modding is in the question, you can always stick with 1ups for the Hachisuke and Clock items, stars for the wings and lucky stars, and Fire Flowers for hammers. As for the enemies, yo...

Go right ahead. I should also note that the dark grey tiles have been made non-portable so that when making a SMB-themed puzzle level, you don't have to use Portal's non-portable tiles and make it appear out-of-place.

I think what Dark_Chaos was saying was in Portal 2, touching any body of Blue Gel (even just walking on it) made you instantly jump into the air at a good height, with the effects being much greater if you drop down and bounce with a great distance. In Mari0, the Blue Gel does not make you auto-jump...

The idea of being able to change your current character's name from Mario would be something I'd adore, but it'd have zero impact on the game imo. Though if online play (while it never will exist) is part of the question, and if you're playing as a custom-colored Mario, it could make some sense.
