I would suggest that the mirrors could be laid on top of a block like the gel in the map editor. Or even add a mirror gel bubble shooter.

That would be like "Super Mari0 Shift",similar to the online game http://armorgames.com/play/751/shift
It could be very cool to have either a in-game button to jump on or a key like the shift key to shift the gravity.
By the way, I think it should be possible to activate the cheats for a map.

This would definitely add to the multiplayer fun. By now there's just quasi cooperative playing, but as a video on the homepage already shows, there's more fun in it when you e.g. portal away the other players. However this might be hard to code to have different physics for different players.

Well, you might loose some stats, true. But in te end the users would need to download the .torrent file from your site to trust it (which you could again count). Also you could still keep up normal download for those who are not that technophile.

But the main idea, would thos be feasible? Maybe one could restrict the the portal guns to specific bricks. Map creators could easily copy any bricks and change the portal1 or portal2 bit. To "link" the users portal with an entity portal the map creator could place a portalable brick opposite of the...

As there was no space for the box to come out of the portal it jumped some blocks to the left. I guess it shouldn't even go through the portal if it cant come out.
