You can display a player's coordinates with F9, the sounds and music are changed to Super Mario Bros. Deluxe for Gameboy Color. Playing music via animation does not stop sounds.

Edit: There are also new sounds.

Search for the mappack folder in the game. Go uplevel from the mappack folder, you might find your characters library. Go another uplevel and you'll find where to place all the files. So 'onlinemappacks'? no, look for alesans_entities somewhere, in that location you'll find a folder called mappacks...
