Re: Mari0 1.6 (Qcode Unofficial) Online- Released

So super old bump, but I just wanted to report a bug. If someone goes into the world 4 warp pipe, they'll correctly be sent to world 4, but everyone who wasn't at that point yet (i.e. the warpzone text hadn't appeared yet) will load world -1. It seems to crash for those people after finishing a leve...

Re: Custom Enemy Sizes

the goomba's width/height are both 0.75
if you set an enemy's width/height to something that's not a multiple of 0.75, its collisions may be wonky.

for example, setting an enemy's width to 1.5 (0.75*2), it'll work fine, but if you set it to something like 1.0, it could glitch out.

i use 0.9, but if everyone's switching over to this then i don't see why i need to.

backwards compatibility is nice, but if not many people would benefit i can easily switch over

I personally prefer using Community Edition/SE Bugfixes, as a lot of the most recent maps are made for SE. It also has a lot to work with for making maps of your own.

I tried it, but couldn't get past one of the platforms in 1-1 (it kept despawning, making it impossible to return left).
Other than that I enjoyed it, and thought it was an interesting concept.

you can mimic the effects of lava using a combination of spikes and invisible solid blocks above them with a 1 space gap in between instead of using lasers
layed out like this:

Code: Select all

invisible block
empty space
top spikes

Re: SE bugfixes - Now on GitHub!

I'd be completely fine with new features that don't make maps incompatible with old versions of SE
like in the better level editor mod, for example. it adds new options to make map creating easier, but you can still play the maps in old versions.

Oh, yeah. One more thing:
at that one level where you have to go down (I think it was the start of 1-3?), the screen doesn't move far enough to see the poison, potentially causing a death. If you added some fumes or something that would let you know there's poison below, it would fix that.
