Re: Ideas/Things to add to Mari0
That's what portalgun pedestals are for - so you can start with no gun, and later get it. If you put no pedestal, there's no portalgun, simple.

Here's something I noticed about that "memory cannot be 'read'" bug - it happens only LOVE 2.8 with LuaJIT.

I'm sorry to revive so old news but hasn't anyone noticed how Mario's death animation was changed from jumping up a bit first?

Re: Ideas/Things to add to Mari0
Oh, by the way, since multiplayer mode is coming it should have different player starts. If there's more players than the player starts, well, look: Two player starts 4 players connect 1st player goes to first player start 2nd player goes to second PS 3rd player goes to first PS 4th goes to second P...

Re: Ideas/Things to add to Mari0
Oh, I remember my second idea now! You have to get in that script editor a event for blocks to disappear, best from some region. And how about megaman-style disappearing blocks? And a script that blocks that become physical object that uses gravity and they can fall through portal and all. That remi...

Re: Ideas/Things to add to Mari0
If I'm not mistaken, having it as a gel creates the following situation: The dispenser would dispense the gel towards the floor. The floor would have the gel on it. Now it has no collision, so you can't place a portal on it. On top of that, the gel falls through to the next block, and the next bloc...

Re: Ideas/Things to add to Mari0
Yeah.
And gel is known for that that you can put it anywhere you want. This can also make timed puzzles.
Your idea would make it needed to have floors/walls walkable through since the whole beginning. You can't do the thing I did on my crappy image. (Pressing the button to reach the shroom)

Nope. You can't put it on any wall.WillWare wrote:Better idea: Make a tile that looks exactly the same, with no collision, possibly with the "foreground" property. Functionally equivalent.

Yeah, they could, if not the fact that they're not GEL you cannot make puzzles like "shoot at specified angle or won't work" puzzles. And if you shoot the portal somewhere else they break.

And now, because you didn't understood anything, I'll tell you: A gel that makes floor/walls/whatever fallable through.
Mm, I had another idea, but forgot it. Damn.

I can't find 0.7.2 with LuaJit.
I ran 0.8.0 with LuaJit as well as 0.7.2 w/o and not effect.
I think I'll have to get better... uh... something.

Ortho robot is very slow
I hope someone can help me. I have a problem with Ortho Robot (which is great game): the game is very slow. (Surprising!) I checked with FRAPS, and i get 4 FPS. I toyed with source and deleted the scanlines, it got to 6 FPS. Still very slow. Is this because of using huge 1024x1024 images? Oh, by the...

Re: [Suggestion] Something with the "Start level screen"
Is this related? If so could you possibly explain the idea? I meant that i also had this idea for level names. Hmm, what about map scripts, like in SMW? Or animated level screens, so we can do something like in Mario Clash? (The monster which are on current level walk before the actual level starts)

Map Editor
I don't believe no one said about it before, but meh, I'm too lazy to use search button. :P So when i test sublevel and die/press esc, it comes back to normal level (w/o sublevel). Is this something with my code? Or maybe it's plan to destroy whole universe by having to click maps and then sublevel ...
