I was looking back at this thread and saw the original file server I was hosting from is dead now, and I'm trying to locate the file myself. Does anyone here still have a copy of these maps? I'd actually like to play through them again myself, but I'm having a hard time finding them.

This is one of my favorite map packs. It's soo difficult, but it I felt so accomplished every time I beat a level.

if you read the error message, it looks like it's having trouble loading whatever your default background is. It could be due to a screwed up map pack you downloaded. I've had this problem before, and I just had to delete the map pack. It's probably just a problem with one of the files in the map pa...

I've made a few new easier levels and added them. I'll upload a new version after I'm done all 8 of them.
I'll update it again with puzzles involving the purple gel after SE comes out, making the number of levels probably closer to 20 or something.

I've made a map pack that can only be beaten with the Gel cannon, but right now there's a lot of fighting you have to do with the engine to get the gel to go where you want it to go because of a few problems with the way it was coded. I don't know love, so I'm not exactly sure how to fix these thing...

after 10 min ; nice , tests are a little hard though Would you suggest I add some easier tests to work up to the harder ones? Or just warn in the description that the maps are very hard? Not sure how he'd work it since there's only 2 buttons on most mice. Unless you toggled between the different gels with a few keys or something.

I finally completed this surprisingly difficult pack today... All I have to say is: Holy crap. So hard. Haha. Sometimes I felt like I was just fighting with the engine to make it work for me, but then I realized I just hadn't solved the puzzle correctly. Really clever idea with the invisible blocks ...

I tried what you have right now, and it looks pretty cool. The only thing is, it's very hard to distinguish the foreground from the background. I think making some slight color changes to some of the tiles could help.

After you guys are all done, you should make some sort of install file that puts the new sprites in for all the lazy people that don't feel like figuring out how to mod it! (a lot of people including me.) it would make this whole thing so much more accessible to other people.

I've played both of yours, but I didn't really feel even reminded of the original portal levels by yours, but I could pick out exactly which level each of jmv's were. Not to say yours isn't good, I just wasn't really reminded of the original portal game by it.

Sweet mappack. You might want to fix the fact that you can beat most of the levels in the second level just by portaling around on the walls.
